Journey from an Engineer to Successful Financial Product Distributor

I, Mr V. Shrinivas, am 34 years old, born and bought up in Bengaluru and currently running a successful business in Mumbai. I completed my engineering and MBA in Marketing. I have also pursued CFP and CIA.

I started my career as a Tele caller at a call centre. Later on I worked for a software company, that did not even pay salary and I did not enjoy my work. I also realized, doing MBA will not get you a dream job or pay, it’s you who has to work toward it. I was always good with people and also got strong feedbacks which made me want to explore Sales/Marketing. I also worked for Airtel, and then Return which was a German MNC. But after some point, it became stagnant. I wanted to have a more Active Department.

When I shifted to Mumbai, things changed. I got married and started exploring Financial Services for additional income. To sustain a life in Mumbai was expensive. I reluctantly joined LIC as an agent and intentionally took low salary for low targets. I invested 1 Lac in training and met advisors from Star Insurance. That’s when I met Mr. Abhishek Kantak. That was the turning point in my career. He introduced me to a Mutual Fund Distributorship; I got a license and started pursuing Financial Consultancy.

Sparrows Sprout contribution in my career has been remarkable. I have been closely working with Sparrows Sprout for 3-4 years now. Various trainings helped me with implementing techniques to grow business faster.

My message to Job Aspirants is that you should explore the potential of this business in Finance sector. This field will give you a promising career and you will be able to achieve great heights.
